The horses who wear the Spear Heart brand are special to us. If a horse carries our brand, it means we have invested our time, energy, full efforts and money into their well-being. We strive to raise and train horses who have the brains and disposition to be superior ranch or show horses. We strive for our horses to have pedigrees filled with industry leading sires and dams to increase the value of the horse throughout its lifetime as well as adding in a dash of color for the icing on the cake of everyones "dream horse".

Sweet Pistol Rey


"Patsy" is a 2021 Mare we raised by a Sweet Lil Pepto, a 6 million dollar producing son of Peptoboonsmal. Patsy is out of our great mare Miss Placed Pistol who is an NCHA producing daughter of PLAYGUN. Patsy is incredibly cowsmart and quick footed. She had a huge stop and loved to spin and slide. She was offered in the 2025 Black Hills Stock Show where she went to a great home in North Dakota for a final price of $19,500.

Dunit With A Bargirl


"Smokey" is a 2021 Mare by a son of Hollywood Dunit out of a daughter of Cash It Johnny. We purchased Smokey from a breeder unstarted as a filly and she progressed faster in her training than any horse we have ever had. She could slide and spin as good as any show horse and was so sweet. Big things are in her future! She was offered in the 2024 Fall Legend Buttes Horse Sale and went to a local friend in Wyoming.

Riverbottom Gold


"Jerry" was the last foal by Olenas Gold Lynx. One of Cody's first and favorite mares. She raised over 8 foals for Cody and every one of them was good. Jerry is a 2022 Gelding who was extremely gentle and pretty as can be. A real life "Barbie Dream Horse". He was offered in the June 2025 Legend Buttes Horse Sale. He was the first horse through the ring and sold for a final bid of $20,500 to a great home in Wyoming!

Peptos Smokey Lynx


"Honey" is a 2019 Mare we raised by a Peptoboonsmal son out of our good foundation mare. Honey was impressive since the day she was born. She had all the body and substance in the world, with a personality as sweet as honey. She was offered in the 2022 Legend Buttes Catalog Horse Sale where she went to a show home in Nebraska for a price of $18,000.

Pep In Her Gold Step


"Bonnie" is a 2018 Mare by Bitty Lil Boon out of a Shining Spark bred mare. This is one of the most special horses we have ever raised. She had more athletic ability and try than she knew what to do with. She was incredibly trainable and smart. Bonnie is currently in high-caliber calf roping training in Wyoming. Big things are in her future! She was the High Seller in the 2022 Legend Buttes Horse Sale with a price of $21,500.

Spoonful A Hollywood


"King" is a stunning colt we raised. He is by an NRCHA Money Earning Hesa PeptoSpoonful son and out of our gorgeous mare Boons Hollywood White by NRHA World Champion Hollywood White daughter. He is an agreeable and trainable young stud with endless potential and athletic ability. He went to a future show home in Pennsylvania in a Private Treaty sale.

Smart Lil Smoke Show

"Lilly" is a kind, inquisitive 2022 filly by a Lil Spoon Son our great mare Highbrow Lena Shines. Lilly was a unique grulla filly with the Splash 1 gene! She went to a future show home in Montana in a Private Treaty Sale.
